our last social in Leeds

Back due to popular demand and the help of volunteers Nita and Paul!

Please come if you can – previous “socials” have been so successful – whether you need to talk to a previous volunteer for reassurance and  inspiration or you want to meet up with old friends – or simply check out Sallie and Kate face to face – here’s a great chance.

Saturday 19th November – Newport Pagnell

Time: 2pm – 6pm

Venue: Newport Pagnell Methodist Church Hall, High Street, Newport Pagnell MK16 8AQ

(junction 14 off the M1 – the Methodist Church is on High St, next to Town Council Offices, opposite Co-op – there are several nearby car parks)

Light refreshments will be available during the afternoon

Time: 2pm – 6pm

Kate and Sallie are delighted to extend this invitation to all volunteers – whether you’ve travelled with us yet, or not – and we’d also love to share news and views, hear questions and provide answers with your friends, colleagues, family and supporters – so please extend our invite to them as well.

We shall attempt to give a short ‘formal’ presentation – but we suspect that volunteers will want to meet and talk with each other, and just maybe us!

There will be light refreshments available, of course.
Volunteers who’ve already returned from their placements; volunteers whose placements are planned; potential volunteers who are still doing the research and considering the possibilities – all in the same place at the same time! What a great opportunity for previous volunteers to catch up on the news – and future volunteers will be able to ask the ‘veterans’ what volunteering is really like.

We realise that many of you will be unable to come because this venue is too far away, but if you would like to help us host a similar event in your own neck of the woods, please let us know!

And “thank you” to volunteers Nita and Paul for your help and support with this latest people and places get-together!
We’re really looking forward to this opportunity – we’ve met many volunteers over the years, but nowhere near enough! It will be wonderful to be able to put faces to voices and names.

We’ve no idea how many of you will want to come, so we therefore ask that you please let us know as soon as possible.
R.S.V.P. – sallie@travel-peopleandplaces.co.uk or kate@travel-peopleandplaces.co.uk – to book your place, or places!

We look forward to hearing from you, and to meeting as many people as possible!

All the best,
Kate and Sallie
