We work with inspired and inspiring people … and these are the people our volunteers work with too! There was a flurry of good news stories in September … read all about it …

Our local partners in Kenya – Turtle Bay – won ‘Best Social Involvement Programme at the Lilizela-Imvelo responsible travel awards …

Local educator, Simo, from one of the township schools in Port Elizabeth where we work, was surprised and delighted to be awarded ‘Best Sport Coach’ at the team prize giving, and wrote to volunteer Richard: “I will always give credit where is due, you made me to achieve this by sending me the soccer coaching material. It seems we form a good team together. Anything we touch turns to gold.”

And students from Joe Slovo School and Henry Nginza schools won bronze medals for their innovative science projects in the Eskom awards – and they were competing against learners from some of the city’s top schools!

Lebo’s Soweto Backpackers – another of our wonderful local partners, was awarded for ‘Aspiring Youth in Tourism’  and ‘Guateng Signature Collection’ status for their Cycle & Tuk Tuk Tours …

Well done everyone!
