and this latest comment just in from another potential volunteer who is doing her research ( and Louise has rather more years under her belt!)

so – I may be being overly optimistic, but it would seem that more volunteers are learning, researching, asking questions, making informed decisions … responsible volunteering reaching a tipping point ?

I’m particularly interested in going through an organisation such as yourselves because of your values and ‘skill sharing’ approach. I would like to take part in something where I feel I am able to actively contribute (as opposed to pure ‘volunteer tourism’).
