I received the following text from Marnie in South Africa

“Just want to share some of Pastor Peters news out at the village. He was called to a meeting this afternoon down at Mapoch. It turns out that youth and members of the surrounding villages want to do something for their own community old people for Mandela day on Monday.
This is not related to any political party or municipality…the idea and action came from the ground.
It feels so good to see the ripple effect all our work over the years is having on individuals in the community. It makes what we are doing with the volunteers really worthwhile to see people empowering themselves without an outside push.”
