We are delighted to report that we have a volunteer currently on placement at Hazyview in South Africa.  Having feared that we would be unable to place anyone at all during the pandemic and with no idea when long-haul international travel will start up again, we were delighted when Richard approached us to say that he was actually in South Africa and could we create a placement for him.  As the Digital Learning Centres run by our partners Good Work Foundation were just starting to reopen and as Richard has appropriate skills to support them, we were delighted to set this up for him.

Richard says: “I’m really pleased to be here and to have the opportunity to contribute to this wonderful project! The lockdown has done me a favour!

I will be getting involved in as much as I can. So far I’m engaged with the Conservation Academy, Careers Guidance Team and creating some training material for the Living Dynamics professional skills platform. I’m looking forward to some real face to face time with the students. It’s interesting!”
